We are so happy to have interested and involved parents as part of our group. The King IB Connection consists of parent volunteers dedicated to enriching the IB experience for students, parents, faculty, and administrators of King High School’s IB Diploma Programme. We achieve our mission in the following ways:
IB Connection Meetings
Parents are welcome to our general meetings to hear IB program highlights, meet other parents and learn about the latest IB Connection activities. Meeting location and time will be published in our Newsletter.
Parent IB Connection Membership
Please join us as a partner in your student’s education at King! This is our annual fundraiser to benefit the Teacher “Wish List”, which covers extra classroom and technology items needed by our IB teachers to enhance our students’ learning environment and helps offset the expenses to sponsor grade-level activities throughout the year. To join, please visit our IB Connection page here.
IB Connection supports events throughout the year which enhance the IB experience for our students. Freshmen will experience Freshman Survival during the first week of the school year, Sophomores are treated to a dessert celebration after their AP Euro Exam in the Spring, the Junior Pinning ceremony is held in the Fall, and the Senior Banquet celebrates the culmination of four years work, as our students graduate. Other fellowship events for parents and students take place throughout the year, depending on interest and volunteer availability.
In order to raise funds for student events, faculty appreciation, and catering for our meetings, the IB Connection raises funds in a number of ways, including IB Connection memberships and donations Click here to join the IB Connection. We welcome ideas for additional fundraiser opportunities at any time.
